FII proudly congratulates seven participants of FII-Boston who were recently honored with Boston Foundation Fellowships. Beatriz Alvarez, Lucy Cadavid, Beatriz Tabares, Luz Elena Muñoz, Vilma Garza, Maria V. Gavidia, and Lidieth Ospina each received unrestricted grants of $2,000 in recognition of their tremendous work to improve their lives and the lives of others in their community and for sharing their experiences and stories. This Fellowship, presented at the Boston Foundation’s annual meeting, was a first for the Foundation. Boston Foundation board member Gerald Chertavian, who is also the Founder and CEO of Year Up, presented the “singular and inspiring” women with their award and said, “I know that these women will make immeasurable contributions to our city.” We couldn’t agree more!
